does icloud sometimes do duplicate contacts??

a while back i had this happen and it was really annoying to fix..i'm curious if anyone knoes what i did, or what i can do to prevent that from happening again. i get nervous every time i play with my contacts

It happened to me as well. I don't know how to fix it. It sucks when you ask siri to call sb and she says which John? John work or mobile...
