does intelliscreen x offer much more than sbsettings?

i see a lot people on here say freeing up ram aka closing apps aka freeing up memory with sbsettings helps when their phone is running a bit slow/laggy

If the app in question was designed to run indefinitely in the background such as TomTom then yes, closing those types of apps down will improve performance. But I've had 30+ apps open without the RAM usage going up and if I leave it long enough, the RAM usage will go down. But you are correct in that if you want to free memory right away you'll notice better performance.

I prefer to let my iPhone choose when to close them down or not.

My iPhone 4 looks pretty but under the hood is a pretty powerful finely tuned machine !
