Does iOS 18's RCS mean anything for Mac iMessage?

Hi all, I didn't see the keynote, but I'm reading some of today's headlines.

Do you think there's any chance the new MacOS will enable iMessage to send/receive to android?

I guess so, the Messages app on macOS is almost the same as the iOS one now, so it will probably send RCS thru your iPhone like it did before for SMS.
