Does IOS 4.1 fix the lagging text bubbles?

On the current version, when sending texts if it is a long one the animation is not very smooth. Is this now fixed?

Mine stutters (graphically speaking) a little bit from when the Send button is hit till the bubble is placed in its spot on the right.

if you send a longish message, the bubble stays on top of the status bar for a second before ducking underneath it. If this is what you mean by lag (and it has bugged me too), then it's still there on 4.1.
