Those God Forsaken three dots at the top of the screen. They had a way to toggle off at one point, which was removed.
I HATE THEM
I HATE THEM
Like before and like it is still possible - by dragging an app from the dock to the side of the screen. The dots are still there. How would you invoke split screen without them?
To scroll to the top of a page and because it‘s intuitive to tap the middle of the screen / directly above the url / directly below the webcam. There was never a way to turn them off (and I will never understand, why people insist to touch exactly at this tiny point on the upper edge of the screen).
How is it intuitive to tap the middle of the screen? I'm right-handed, so for me it's more natural to tap more on the right side of the screen. To scroll to the top of a page and because it‘s intuitive to tap the middle of the screen / directly above the url / directly below the webcam.
Only in portrait mode, mine is always used in landscape mode. The dots have never caused an issue for me.To scroll to the top of a page and because it‘s intuitive to tap the middle of the screen / directly above the url / directly below the webcam.
This. Scrolling down this topic thinking I couldn't be the only one!The three dots only bother me when closing tabs on Edge. The "X" is right next to the three dots, and I invariably end up engaging split screen instead of closing the tab.
Its like telling Mac users “hey can we remove the red, yellow and green on the window buttons.”I use the 3 dots thanks LOL
Also, I'm finding split screen to be extremely useful. No desktop has anything close to this for certain things.
It has words attached to the glyphs/symbols.. helps users determine what the action does. I’m indifferent towards it, but it’s not something worth complaining about IMO.The pop-up menu is much bigger now (and looks outdated, imo). I also made the mistake of tapping ‘Close’, thinking it would close the pop-up menu. Oh no…it fully closes the app, as if you swiped up to force close it. (The app is not in the background or app switcher anymore.)
There was, in some of the betas. There was never a way to turn them off (and I will never understand, why people insist to touch exactly at this tiny point on the upper edge of the screen).
Wow that is an absolute regression! Agreed, it’s much cleaner on iPadOS 15.The three dots never really bothered me, but I’m not exactly a fan of how it looks/works now.
It looks like this in iPadOS 16:

For reference, this is what the pop-up menu used to look like, which I think looks more modern and cleaner:
