does iphone 6 support apple watch series 5?

hi i am planning to buy a apple watch series 5 but I am still using iphone 6 running ios 12.4
I’ve heard watch os 6 only support ios 13 and above but since iphone 6 doesn’t support ios 13 will it still work in my situation? thanks

No, you need atleast the iPhone 6s or SE.
