does the iphone lack apps and not carrier apps on certain carriers like android does? i know is pretty much all the same except radios are the only this that are diffrent on each carrier. i know that the apps can work on pretty much on all phones if the software is up to date. but android's apps work on some and not others becasue of screen size and carrier

Yes, all appstore apps work on all iphone models as long as there is no minimum firmware version requirement from the particular app in order to be installed.

yes this is what i mean...when i was on android some apps would work on some phones and not others. as well as some carriers and not others.

Is an advantage of the iPhone ecosystem. Central control means every developer adhere to 1 standard.

If you are an Android developer, you worry about compatibility with the top 3 devices (if that) and that's it.
