iPod touch Does iPod Touch have 3D stereo EQ?

Hi,

I have been thinking about buying an Apple iTouch but I need to know if it has a 3D (stereo widening) effect on the EQ?

The reason I ask is because currently I own an iAudio X5 and I really love the 3D jeteffect stereo effect as it widens the stereo effect and adds gloss to vocals. Also, I have Rockbox installed and the stereo widening is superb.

I also need to know if the EQ is 5 band or 10 band.

Please advise?

No 3D EQ on mine... I'd just listen to music without effects, it covers the original audio. It's not natural imho.

Same here. I have my iPod touch EQ set to "off." To my ears, it sounds best that way.

It has preset modes...like jazz, rock, piano etc..you can't custonize it yourself.

Hmm, thanks for the replies anyway.

I was going to buy the iPod Touch for to play mp3s, watch videos and browse the net but the lack of customising the EQ and the lack of the stereo widening effect has put me off buying it.

I think my best bet is to buy the Cowon Q5 which has internet, movies and the ability to customise the EQ aswell as a 3D stereo option (stereo widening).

IMHO the stereo widening improves the sound.
