Does it matter having apps, safari left on in the multitask screen?

Just wonder if having apps that you have recently visited when you double click the home button effects how much data you are using? I normally delete them from the background when I have finished using the internet or facebook or any app that is used for the internet.

But if I left them off would it effect my internet data?

If it's an app that constantly streams data to/from the phone then yes, it will affect your data usage.
