Does it matter how and when you charge your battery?

Years ago people were concerned about battery memory in their cell phone batteries so they wouldn't charge their batteries until they were almost dead.

What is the current state of iPhone batteries? Does it matter when you charge them and for how long you charge them. I've heard some people day they charge below 20% and then their battery run down once a week and I've heard others say it doesn't matter what you do these days?

Anyone know what the real truth is?

You will get a hundred different answers here as the olds ways are still imprinted in many user's minds.

Best advice I can give is to just use your phone and plug it in when you go to bed. Do not get obcessed with the whole thing as nothing you will hear will greatly change your battery use. I do suggest that you never run it down till it is 100% dead as this WILL shorten your battery's life.

The new batteries really do not care and you can charge them when ever you want no matter what their charge level is.
