I've read some iPad's have screen issues, depending on where it was made. I'm in the UK.

Do I buy my iPad from an Apple Store, or another reputable shop, like Argos?

Where you buy won't increase or decrease your chances of getting a better or worse device.

If you don't want to take any chances get it from a local retailer who has a good return policy in case there is something you are not happy with. Here in the US we have several Apple retailers who offer 90 day returns.

I purchased both my iPads directly from Apple and no issues with either.
