Hello guys,
I've been trying to install Windows on my MBP, but i've encountered some difficulties due to the fact that my computer's superdrive is dead. It will not load cds or dvds, which obviously presents a problem since bootcamp needs to load the installation cd. I do have a firewire-linked Lacie CD drive attached to my computer, and it should function the same as loading the windows CD into my non existent superdrive, correct? The only problem is that when I tried this route, with the windows xp sp2 cd loaded in the lacie drive, the installtion process gave me the message that "no bootable devices could be found". Is this due to the fact that the Lacie Drive's CD is not able to be found, or could it be the CD itself? My original Windows disc was going to be lent to a friend for some time, so i made a copy onto a blank CD, the Cd appears to function as it loads onto my desktop, but I have heard issues about Cd's being burnt with all the information, but not being "bootable". Could this be the problem? If so, how would I be able to make a "bootable" CD?
Thanks
