Does iTunes work with other music players?

I think I read somewhere that iTunes can sync with music players other then the iPod. I know songs purchased from the music store won't work, but is it true that you can load say a Zen Vison:M with iTunes?

I have an old Dell JukeBox, but it can't be mounted on the desktop. Is there a way to sync that too?

You can use a palm pilot with missing sync. I use it on my tapwave zodiac
