Does jailbreaking disable native multitasking? (Skype)

Before jailbreak I was able to launch Skype...then exit to springboard and go about my business with Skype happily running in the background. Now it seems that it automatically closes when I press the home button after launch.


Anyone else experience this?

Skype has never played nice with jailbroken phones. This is affecting a lot of people, not just you

Make sure you have all the latest updates in Cydia. I had the same issue previously. I believe an update to the mobile substrate resolved the issue.

I've had it working fine on 4.0 and now 4.01.

But I don't have an update for MobileSubstrate or anything. I RELIGIOUSLY check for updates in Cydia. What is the version of the MobileSubstrate on your device so I can triple-check?
