I'm new to the forum and I was wondering if jailbreaking gets you applications that you normally would have to pay for without jailbreaking. (I haven't jailbroken my Touch yet (since I just got the second generation Touches so I don't know.
I think the better approach would be to look for free, non-Store apps that have the same functionality as official, purchasable apps. If they exist. The overall goal of jail-breaking, as I understand it, is it give you more options, not crack third-party apps (though it might be possible).
