Hello, all:
So I recently purchased a Ci75m mouse from Kensington—I've been a fan of their mice for years, and I love the slim designof the Ci75m, the wireless/wired options, etc. But in a nut shell, their drivers didn't work. I downloaded both the Slimblade and the Mouseworks drivers about a dozen times each in various different ways, and still no luck. I finally broke down and e-mailed their tech support, and got this reply:
"Thank you for contacting Kensington Technical Support... I am sorry to inform that we do not have any plans to develop any software for Macintosh 10.5.x Leopard."
So, the newest and arguable best operating system around, and they don't plan to support it?!? Hell, Kensington used to make mac specific mice! What gives?!? The mouse kind of works with the mac-native driver, but there's no support for chording or reassigning buttons, and the tracking speed control is way too basic.
Anyone have any ideas? If there's any way to get the drivers to work with the new mouse on leopard, I'd love to hear it. I know there's some third party drivers that could make up for the lack of Kensington's support, but I hate the idea of dishing out more money for a product that should have worked great right out of the box.
Thanks muchly for your help!
