Does Lightning to HDMI adapter have latency?

I'm thinking of getting the Lightning to HDMI adapter so I can plug in my iPhone or iPad to my TV and either watch content on the bigger screen or game. Does this adapter have noticeable latency at all especially for gaming where it matters most? I'm worried I might get this and have a bad experience with it.
