My friend broke his MacBook Pro Power Adapter. When he went to the shop today he got a new one but on the box it says: "MacBook Air! 45W MagSafe Power Adapter".

Is it the same as his MacBook Pro? It looks the same, but does it have just as much W or something?

while the 45 might run the laptop, it probably won't charge it at the same time. and it may actually use the battery and the charger at the same time.

you should take that one back, and get the right sized one.

the different sizes.
45w - air
60w - 13"
85w - 15" & 17"

w = watts, like on your lightbulbs.
