Does Mail let you use aliases?

Email aliases for my Yahoo! accounts is one of the last features that keeps me using Sparrow (RIP). I hope the new mail has that as a regular feature without resorting to trickery (you can setup aliases on Mac Mail then the iPhone just using those settings via iTunes).

What happened to sparrow?

Google bought Sparrow last summer and since then there have only been a couple of maintenance upgrades, no new features like landscape support or iPad version.
