I have been told so,but it does not seem logical to me.What do you think?

No The MacBook Pro 15-inch Hi-Res Antiglare Widescreen Display is as bright and clear as anything I have seen.

i actually just got a 17in i5 glossy and still have my other 17 in i7 matte before i sell it. The matte is actually brighter, but its a bit more washed out then the glossy.

from what i have seen the brightness is the same but the anti glare just does not have the same amount of pop in the image and it does not look as vibrant, i just got my 15" high res glossy 2.66 ghz i7 and i am playing star craft 2 on it and it looks AMAZING i refuse to put it on my 26" lg lcd tv because it just cannot compare >_<

What made you choose glossy over matte this time?

i really like the look of the black border and the colors are more vivid. Its a bit darker, but it has more contrast. i would have preferred to have another i7, but they dont sell those in store and im impatient . i havent regretted it, but i still need for someone to buy my i7 lol
