In Mountain Lion whenever I turn my BlueTooth headphones on and enable it is as the audio device, iTunes opens regardless of the settings I've made. This is very frustrating as it causes problems when I'm trying to watch and listen to something in another app. I have to chmod iTunes to 000 to prevent it from opening. Is this bug fixed in Mavericks?

OSX Mavericks fixed the crackling and popping noise that I was having with my Bose Soundlink Mini bluetooth speaker, so I guess there was an update for it.

Did you ever get an answer to this? This "bug" is killing me.

No. I have updated to Mavericks and still have this bug. Still have to chmod iTunes to 000 to prevent it from opening.
