In doing some research i can see that mobileme will work if you just use it locally on your PC. Mobileme will show the adds/updates/edits.

I've also read that if you use a corporate exchange server, in a manner that the data actually resides on the server and is only "viewed" via OUTLOOK, then mobileme will not reflect any adds/updates/edits that you see in your outlook.

My question is... if i use a PST file, so my data actually gets sent to my OUTLOOK on my PC from the corporate exchange server, and lives there on the PC, will calendar adds/updates/edits reflect properly within mobileme?

I reworded the thread subject to be clearer, in hopes to get someone who might know the answer.

The only way to get email from your corporate email server is to use activesync and pay the extra money for the enterprise exchange access.

If you install mobileme on a PC that runs outlook but is connected to a corportate exchange server, you will get the error message "MobileMe can not sync with outlook if it's connected to an exchange server".

I'm about 95% sure the answer to your question is no.

You don't need to pay extra for exchange support. The standard $30 data an will do the job just fine.

To the OP. If you have exchange at work that your outlook hooks into, why bother with MobileMe? Just setup exchange to work directly on your phone. Eliminate the middleman.

The problem with that is our corporation does not allow direct access to the exchange servers except by BLACKBERRIES.
So i am looking for another way.

I was thinking since i use a pst file, and exchange simply pushes info to me (mail, meetings, etc) instead of outlook being just a VIEW into exchange, my data lives on OUTLOOK on my PC, and not on exchange. The meeting notices live on OUTLOOK just as if i typed them in myself on my PC. If i am not connected to the network, i still see them, and exchange knows nothing about them after it pushes mail/cal events to me.

I was hoping because of this, mobileme would infact work.

You should look into whether your corporation has a web portal to exchange. We have such a beast and you can use the mobile safari browser to read messages, etc.
