iTunes has had varying success managing classical music, especially tanking after 11 came out for me. For anyone out there with a large library of classical music, is it doing a good job organizing everything?

Not sure what tanked for you @ iTunes 11 - but I have not really found anything better than iTunes for meta data and organizing my music files, classical or other wise - Music App in Catalina is the same for meta data

You can toggle the song name to work name and movement info etc - and comments are always useful

For a while I stupidly changed the dates to the date composed - ie "Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125 Presto-Allegro" = year 1822

but that messed up my library and could not figure out the artisits and CD dates etc

Classical is more complicated
