So, this is killing me: I can't tell if my screen's ok or not. I get the feeling the bottom left third of the screen is yellower/warmer, but again, maybe I'm just being paranoid. I did all the tests intended for the iMac yellowing, but I can't conclude, maybe my eyes just aren't accustomed to detecting the problem or not.

At 80% brightness, iPhone 4 camera:

I'm not a photographer or anything, but is my display acceptable? I have AppleCare until August, this was bought secondhand, refurbished.

:(

Hi, I got the same monitor as you do and I have never experienced any yellowing at all.. I looked at your pic and I don't see any yellowing whatsoever. You are worrying over nothing..

Thank you for your reassurance, much appreciated. Hopefully you're right, I gotta stop looking for problems with my stuff. :p

I also have a 24 ACD and have never had any yellowing issues. Yours looks fine to me as well.

Doesn't look like there are any problems with yours...

I have a 24 ACD and checked it myself too.

Thank guys, I'm relieved. Even if there's no yellowing, the bottom left quarter does feel warmer to me when browsing a site like MR. guess some variability is to be expected, though.

I cant believe you go out of your way to find problems with your stuff?!

Surely you have no hair left by now.

Interesting profile picture!!!... Is it love at first sight?!

If the screen looks too warm or yellow to you, you can always calibrate it. I don't have any particular products or methods to recommend but there's probably some other posts on here that could help you with that.

It's a cheap LG screen inside an expensive apple case. Yes you have yellowing. probably.

Didn't know a 24" LED backlit IPS panel was considered "cheap."

Those CCFL TN panels in most monitors are cheap. These are not much so.

Yep afraid so...... LG don't really make anything that would be considered "premium" There stuff is ok for the price if branded LG but sticking it in an aluminium case and more than doubling the price still won't make it anything other than an LG screen in an expensive case.

Apple.... Profit before product.

Apple... Wrap it in shiny metal and triple the price... Repeat process yearly with new shape and colours.

Sit back and watch people que!

Also install an isight camera, 3 usb ports, decent sounding speakers, sweet looking styling, and a genius cable that also charges your mackbook pro.

Hmmm....sounds like it's worth the price to me.

You really should do some research before posting. You just sound silly when you don't.
