Does my MacBook Pro know it's streaming to my Apple TV?

If so, why the hell does it go to sleep causing my Apple TV to suddenly go back to the menu screen.

Some things about Apple are really very crap.

Rather than calling a very successful company 'crap,' you could do this:

1. Go to System Preferences, Go to Energy Saver

2. Under 'Put the computer to sleep when it is inactive for:' slide to 'Never'.
