Apple is replacing defective Magsafe adaptors for free, or at least those that have fraying wires: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1977
I'm having trouble with my Magsafe adaptor, but I live far away from an Apple Store or Authorized Repair place. The outer pins in my MagSafe Adaptor are stuck in the retracted position, so it won't charge. Well, at least it's very intermittent. I've tried to get them "unstuck," but the spring tension on them is gone.
Does anyone know if this would be covered by Apple or are they only covering frayed/melted MagSafe adaptors? Those are the common problems with the MagSafe adaptor...not sure if they're replacing the stuck pins for free. I would just take it in, but I'm in Indonesia far from an Apple store (they do have them in Jakarta, but I'm far from there too).
Thanks.
