I have a 3yr old MBP, with a one yr old 500G 7800RPM HDD and 4G RAM
2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo

I have 200G free space with Bootcamp using 40G.
lately I'm getting the beachball a lot, either when browsing the web, or running a program. This never happened as often as it does now. Is there any cleanup, or tune up you can recommend?

thanks,
Joe

I'd use Disk Utility to Verify and Repair Disk Permissions and then run Verify/ Repair Disk.

If that doesn't help, try Onyx.
