I have a rev D 12" powerbook, with the custom graphics card in it and I am planning on buying a 19 inch widescreen for it, for a nice workstation at home.

The one thing that is holding me back, and hence the point of this thread is...
Does my powerbook support 1440 * 900?

The display is on amazon so i can't check it out before i buy.

Does anyone have a 12" powerbook hooked up to a 1440 * 900 or know of whether such a resolution is supported? I have searched, been on the apple discussions and also checked out system prefs, but to no avail.

Thanks in advance for any help.

well if that's the case, its already mine.

Just a bit of doubt/fear/potential horror before the 'buy now' click i guess

I have my 12" Rev C. PB hooked up to a 20" 2005FPW Dell monitor (1680x1050). The fans run a bit faster since the GPU is working harder, but other then that, everything it fine.

What custom graphics card are you refering to? The 12" PB only came with the NVIDIA GeForce Go5200. The only thing that has changed in the 12" line was Mini-DVI out on the Rev B. and VRAM uped to 64mb in the Rev.C.

For your heat issues I would suggest an iCurve
