Hey All

Just a quick question...

Does my blue tooth keyboard and magic track pad automatically go off when i shutdown mac?

Just want to make sure because i dont want to waste the batteries plus there is no green lights when mac is on or off to determine this.

Regards
Alex

No, they go into "sleep mode" if you will. They temporarily turn off until they are used again or needed. If they are not used for i think 10-20 minutes, mine go to sleep.

Thank you for the quick answer.

Does sleep mode use much battery power or is pretty much off then? Is there any/much advantage go turn them off before I shut down?

Essentially no battery power is used, they are, to all intents and purposes, switched off. Therefore, there's no need to switch them off. What's more, unless it's going to be left unattended for some time, the same applies to the computer i.e. no need to shut it down - just put it to sleep.
