does new air now support egpu

The new mac mini specifically mentions its support for an egpu but there is no mention of it on the air. I assume since it has a thunderbolt 3 port its good to go but any reason to think otherwise?

Yes it does as per Apple site.

However I would presume some heavy CPU bottleneck for any eGPU solution, not sure if price is worth the gains.
