I don’t have my Ocean Band very tight, but I notice it leaves an imprint on my skin since the ridges are touching.

1. Does this happen to anyone else?

2. Do you think the ridges feel uncomfortable?

Mine did that to me too. I also felt like a small rock was under my wrist when my arm was on a desk or table. Tricky to put on or adjust during the day as well. As much as I like how it looks (wore it for a year) I switched to the trail loop band. I can barely feel it and it's simple to put on and adjust through out the day

I like wearing my Ocean Bands and didn’t see that so far. I assume it’s caused not by how tight you wear it, but maybe because of the way you rest your hand on a table for example when working on a Computer…

I wear the Ocean Band often and spend a lot of time working out on bikes, which can make getting good HR readings a little challenging because of the angle of your wrist…and I’ve never had to crank the band down tight enough to leave marks like that! :) Whether it’s how tight you’re wearing the band or wrist position (as the post just above suggests), I’d try loosening the band and see how it wears.

Actually, now that I”m thinking about it, I would say that the UW2 seems to have less drop-outs than I have had with the UW1 or any of the regular Apple Watch “series” versions. Supposedly none of the hardware has changed from last year so maybe that impression isn’t really accurate, but I used to get a lot of prompts from my UW1 (and S7 and earlier watches) asking whether I was finished with my workout - in the middle of the workout, which I assume was because the Watch had stopped being able to read my HR. I don’t think I’ve gotten any of those prompts in the month or so since I got the UW2 on its first release date.

I do not wear mine tightly, and if I leave my wrist in the same position for an extended period of time (like typing for an hour), I will see very slight indentations, though I don't feel them when they're occurring.

If I tighten my ocean band down by one more notch, like I do when I run on my treadmill, so the watch doesn't bounce around, then the marks will occur after a short while.

All that said, with a band of this design, there's no way to completely avoid it. With the ridges, the pressure will always be uneven. But with how I wear it normally and moving around throughout the day, it doesn't really occur.

Happens to me. I don’t wear my watch at night and it is gone by morning. Every watch band I’ve ever used leaves a temporary mark. The ocean band does leave a unique mark based on it’s shape.

I am using a trail loop more often now. The ocean band made keeping my heart rate without it dropping a bit of a challenge. Ocean band is definitely a nice band though.

Sounds like you’re wearing it too tight

Should be able to fit a finger between your arm and the band

Or just join the fabric band master race lol

ANY band will leave an imprint on your wrist if tight enough. Even loose, it will leave marks.

My Nomad band leaves more marks than my Ocean band. I appear to be in between clasp holes on this band. It's either slightly too tight or too loose.
