This question is for Intel MacBooks only:

Since Office 2004 is written for the PowerPC and thus runs on Intel MacBooks using Rosetta, does it drain the battery faster than Office 2008?

For example, if I was using Microsoft Word to take notes at school, would I get more battery life by using Office 2008?

Possibly, but it won't be very different between the two. Turn off wifi and you'll get a lot more battery life.
