Does overclocking the GPU to factory defaults void the warranty?

On XP I OC my GPU for gaming. I understand that OCing may void the warranty, but factory defaults shouldn't compromise the chip in any way. I just use the official Nvidia tool to set my 9600 to the optimal settings, which happens to be the factory defaults.


On a related note, it is not and never will be possible to use shared memory with the 9600, correct?
