I'm wondering if you start Parallels does it activate the discreet GPU? or can it detect if you start a game in a Windows VM will it activate?

I think all VMs will always use the dGPU. You can use gfxCardStats to force Integrated only if you do not want this (Click it twice).

Parallels virtualizes hardware. Even if it did activate the dGPU, it wouldn't help gaming at all, that's not how it works.

I was just wondering if Parallels was one of those apps that activates the dGPU or wether it was intelligent enough to know when to activate it.
