I want to buy a 2010 Macbook Pro and put my own hard drive in. It's cheaper to do it myself, kinda fun, and I get an extra hard drive. Would opening my Macbook Pro void the standard 1-year warranty?

I had the same question, so I talked to the Apple Genius guys. I wanted to replace my i7-17" with a SSD and they said that it wont void the warranty of the MBP. You planning on going with an SSD
