I've always read that you should set up as a new phone instead of restoring from a backup (in order to avoid weird issues like poor battery life). Does this also apply to restoring from iCloud (does it store the same exact stuff as iTunes)?

I had an iPhone 4 and backed it up with iCloud. Should I set my new iPhone 4S up as a new phone, or is it safe to restore from iCloud? If I need to do a fresh set up, is there a way to at least restore the apps I currently use?

Thanks

I restored from iCloud and it improved the battery life like the good old days with the iPhone 4.
Then with iOs 5.01 I went back to crappy battery drain.

I'd try using iCloud to restore as it can't hurt.

I thought using icloud only restores 5gigs worth of info?

since the storage space in vokoun is only 5gigs
