I am going to be using a LoginHook in my Leopard 10.5.6 setup and was wondering if the root user has to be enabled in order for the LoginHook to be successfully run? I know the LoginHook runs the script as root, but I was hoping I could keep the root user disabled. Please help!

I think LoginHooks are actually gone as of 10.5. I know they were deprecated in 10.4, and I think they're actually completely non-functional in 10.5.

Use LaunchAgents instead.
