Does Siri allow name alias for foreign pronunciation?

I tried to get siri to find direction to my japanese supermarket, but it can never understand the name of the store.

Is there a way to give alias names to certain words to make it ezier?

I dont know, but I had to add nicknames to some of my family members as Siri will not understand their names (but the old voice dialing pre iOS5 worked fine for them).

Siri seems to work fine for normal works, but places, business names and peoples names have no hope. Heck I cant even dial the local thai restaurant because it has "restaurant" in the name - removed that and it dials fine - ergh!
