iPhone 12 Does smart battery charge work in your iPhone 12?

hi, I have owned the new iPhone 12 for about a month now and I've never seen the smart battery charge feature working, my phone always charge all the way to 100% no matter what.

Any thoughts?

Same here, even with my previous iPhone SE

I do charge it every day and a half and not at the same time everyday.

I charge it everyday around 9-10:30 pm except on weekend. It works every day from Monday to Friday because on weekends I stand up between 8-11 am and my iPhone haven’t figured it out yet

Optimized Battery Charging does not work well for me, the hours always exceed the time when I wake up. Recently I permanently disabled the option, but after 2 or 3 days the option was automatically activated, is this a bug? I am using iOS version 14.2 (iPhone 11 Pro max)

It works. It stops at 80% and a message is shown on the lock screen telling that it will be 100% before a determined time.II consider disabling it though.

It turns back on every time you restart the phone so you'll have to disable it if you ever need to turn it off or restart it

Hasn’t worked on my XS Max in 2+ years. Not working on my launch day 12 Pro Max either.

From my understanding, you need to charge at the same time everyday for it to be enabled. Seems kinda pointless imo, especially for those that "top off" throughout the day. I wish there was a way to set it to stop charging at a certain percentage.

I get the message that charging will be completed by X time if I charge it during the night. For example, if I dock it around midnight, the mesage on the lock screen will tell me charging will be complete by 5AM or 6AM. The time varies. Using an iPhone 12 Pro. Also worked on my X.

Just started getting the charging optimization message on my launch day 12 Pro Max this week. Never worked on my 11 Pro Max. And I charge at the same time every day - put the phone on the charger at bedtime and take it off when I get up.
