Has anyone tried to trade in their space gray MacBook with Apple and got the full amount of trade in even with the space gray discoloring on the palm rests? No idea if that counts as physical good condition when selecting the options. Apple didn't have an answer for me other than, "just send it in and well let you know."

I dont think it matters. They want to be able to reuse the materials Or resell the device.

Does anyone else get actual physical wear on the sharp edge of their macbooks? Not sure if it's parlty because I use my laptop in bed a lot where my arm my rub agianst it more, but both my 2011 mbp and new 2019 16" have actual material missing.

Not my machine, but my 2011 looks like this, and my 2019 a much milder version of this

Those aren't my photos, but my 10yr old macbook def looks a bit like the first one haha. My 2019 model is very mild. I suspect it's because i'll have my laptop in bed and my arm/wrist hits the edge fairly firmly. Maybe a combination of pressure and sweat over the years.
