This. If it's a recent model (like a 5 or 5s) you'd get much more by selling it on eBay, Craigslist, or Swappa.
What if you drop your phone on the way to the store to trade it in? What if you stop short in your car on the drive over and it hits the floor and cracks? A million things could happen in either situation. Thousands of people buy and sell on Swappa without incident, I personally have sold 4 phones without a problem on there.What are the odds of getting swindled by some one who claims he/she never got the phone, like a soap or empty box? How would one avoid getting swindled?
