The Apple Support pages state that Tahoe will work on a 2020 Intel MacBook Pro 13" with 4 Thunderbolt 3 ports, which is one of the machines I have. I also have an M2 Pro Mac mini sitting on the same desk. Firstly, is anyone using the Intel set up and is it working exactly as intended? Secondly, has there been any occurrence of cross compatibility issues between the two types of processors on the same network? Sequoia has worked perfectly up until now, although I wonder if the extra prominence of Apple AI in Tahoe could cause issues as it's optimised for Mx chips? Finally, is anyone experiencing app issues? I'm mainly Adobe CC but also have a good few other supporting apps, so I guess the basic question is has this been a seamless OS update or are there things to look out for? Thanks in advance.

I can't answer your questions, but my experience has been that new versions of an operating system will almost always run slower on older hardware. If it were me, I'd stick with what you already have, especially if your system is stable and performance is adequate.

I have a 16'' Intel MacBook Pro i7. I'd say to wait before to update, because I've done it and the OS and every app feel unresponsive.
For example, opening TextEdit requires a 1 second of waiting time and it freezes when I start writing but then resumes.

Strangely, this does not apply to Spotlight which works perfectly.

I can also confirm that it is running very well on Intel iMac 27 2020. But look at the UI design problems ("liquid glass") and see how some applications look like i.e. Contacts app before you jump in. There is no easy way back.

I have a 16-inch 2019 MacBook Pro i7 and just downgraded to Sequoia because it was too laggy. Animations weren't smooth, the CPU usage when not in use was high (after indexing and syncing) and it just felt slow.

I haven't rolled back but I opened two tickets inside Feedback Assistant. It seems we are not the only ones experiencing problems with a slow system and also TouchID not working correctly.
