Beej macrumors 68020 Original poster Jan 6, 2002 2,139 0 Jul 9, 2002 #1 I've got a blue iBook I'm trying to connect to a Quicksilver. Both machines are running X.1.5. In OS X, target disk mode doen't work. When I boot into OS 9 and do exactly the same thing, it works no worries. What goes on?

Yeah back to cold Melbourne TDM == Target Disk Mode. You plug two Macs together using a firewire cable... very similar to using an external firewire drive. And just like SCSIing two computers together, if you can remember back that far...

I also found that it would work using the other computer as the target disk (if that makes any sense at all--its hard to describe what I mean) If you find an answer I'd be very interested to hear it.
