Does the 27" Display need to be plugged into mac USB, or is it all-in-one through TB

I want to get a 27" to use with my Air, and am wondering if the displays USB ports require the use of a port on the laptop, or if everything is transferred through the thunderbolt port. And in fact, does every port on the display just run through the TB cable and require no extra cables?

The Thunderbolt port will suffice, it even says so here.

That is correct. Plug everything into the ATD and then plug the Thunderbolt cable from the ATD into the TB port on the Air.
