Does the 6 (and therefore 6s) have software OIS?

I'm quite disappointed that they never managed to add OIS to the 6s model this year, however I still think I'm getting the 6s over the 6s+.

This will be my first iPhone and I wondered if the 6 had software OIS and if it works well? Could I expect similar performance from a 6s (obviously it will take better pictures due to improved sensor etc).
