does the antenna issue drops 3g calls only ??

I am also wondering if its only a 3G thing...I havent really looked but does the "death grip" issue happen when 3G is off and its only on Edge??

also what spectrum of 3G does ATT use? 850, 1900, 1800???

I'm pretty sure its just 3G. The calls weren't an issue for me as 3G data slowing and then stopping was way more frustrating.

I believe it's only affecting the 3G calls (at least for me here in Wash, DC) I'm one of the "small majority" of people that is affected by this death grip thing. While my bars have gone all the way down to 1, I've never been switched over to EDGE once.

It affects ALL cellular networks (2G, 3G) on different frequencies.

Yes it affects EDGE as well. I live in two locations and one of them is EDGE only. The antenna issue affects both locations, both networks.
