Does the Apple silicone case protect the camera?

As above, does the Apple silicone case protrude beyond the cameras?

I've bought the Anqrp case which has been great for grip and protection of the cameras in the past but the current 16 Pro version is practically on the lens.

I have the Apple silicone case on order, but am now concerned that it doesn't protect the cameras lenses at all after watching reviews.

Agreed. The silicone’s lip at the camera does protect when laying the phone down.

Not much. Just barely extend like 0.1mm. If you stick lens protector, no more protection.

The Apple Silicone case will also "barely" protect the less but does and that is what counts. Any more and it is just getting in the way.
