Does the back half overlap the front half of the case?

Check the attached image. Doesn't it look like the back plastic piece sticks out past the front piece of the phone?

I certainly hope not! Maybe the white backing just blends in with the chrome trim too much.

The pieces meet, not overlap. It's just the angle of the photo and the lighting on the chrome.

is anyone else concerned about how the 3g iPhone will lay flat on the table? Will it wobble since it is a curved back? I think it will rock or pivot on the middle where it is the thickest.

If it does I think it will scratch the plastic back

The front overlaps the back! How ugly and uncomfortable to hold in your hand! We have one at work and I must admit that the screen is gorgeous and a great improvement over the previous version but the aesthetics suck!

Yes, I would be devastated if in fact the iPhone was the same way and the back and front did not line up with each other. Apple is all about smooth lines but apparently you haven't noticed. And it's not a "little problem" because it doesn't exist as proven by the posts from other users above yours.
