Hi,

I've always wondered, when I use the camera connection kit to import photos to the iPad, does it import it in full size?

Or does it downsize it to save space?

I currently do not have a camera connection kit, and wanted to buy purchase one. But I would only get it if it did import it in full resolution.

My thoughts were, I can use the iPad as a backup to my SD card while I'm traveling.

Thanks

It will import RAW formats and according to Apple the new iPad can handle image file sizes up to 19mb.

It will import up to 19MP RAW images on iPhoto but all the changes are done on a JPG when you edit in iPhoto. This way non-destructive editing still works on an iPad without sacrificing the original RAW.

I got one for £3 off eBay, works a treat an it does Cards AND USB off one connector, like the others have said up to 19 megapixel, my cameras only 18 so it's good for the moment.
