My iBook G3 has a broken charger. It's fine except for the middle thing that sticks out of the charging end isn't there, it broke off. When its plugged into the iBook (I've tried it in both iBooks that I have) the light comes on, but it won't power up. This could be because of logic board issues, but if that was the case, wouldn' it just power up or I'd hear the chime? :S

I'm about to fix the logic board failure but I'm planning on doing this without paying anything so I don't really want to replace the AC adapter. I want to know that this will work if I do the logic board correctly.

Um. The problem is that the iBook isn't getting any power. The "middle thing" is a bit important.

Forget about the logic board and get a charger than works.
